Animal Welfare

Paradachs Pictures is a rabid contributor to PETA, Bide-A-Wee, and Dachshund Rescue. You could be, too. It's simple. One click today makes all the difference. Do it. Feel good about being humane.

THE ANIMAL RESCUE SITE
First things first, start your day by feeding an animal in need. Bookmark the site so you can go there daily.

PETA
The largest animal rights organization in the world. These people really do make a difference. We've been contributing to them for years. Dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals, PETA operates under the principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment purposes. Their cause is just, their concern is real, and their catalogue is caring and cool. Check out their website, and get ethical.

BIDE-A-WEE
One great group. At Bide-A-Wee, an animal is never euthanized unless it is incurably ill. This animal welfare society's no-kill adoption centers have provided temporary shelter and found loving homes for more than one million unwanted dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. Within a few months, nearly all are successfully placed with carefully screened adopters.

DACHSHUND RESCUE OF NORTH AMERICA
True wiener warriors. We love 'em. DRNA is an organization with one sole purpose —rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing needy dachshunds and dachshund mixes.

Eldercare

In addition to animal welfare, Paradachs Pictures, Inc. urges everyone to support agencies and individuals who care for the growing number of frail, isolated, elderly Americans. The following agencies help to serve senior shut-ins in New York City. Each time you make a donation, you make a difference in someone's life.

Citymeals-on-Wheels
This wonderful organization seeks to provide a continuous lifeline of nutritious food and human company to homebound elderly New Yorkers in need, thereby helping them to live with dignity in their own familiar homes and communities. Citymeals-on-Wheels delivers meals to the homebound elderly New Yorkers on weekends, holidays, and times of emergency, when these vulnerable seniors would otherwise go hungry. 100% of all donations are used entirely for the preparation and delivery of the meals. For national Citymeals-on-Wheels information, go to www.helping.org.

City Harvest
City Harvest is dedicated to feeding New York City's hungry, primarily by rescuing good food from restaurants that would otherwise be wasted. Since 1981, it has distributed more than 85 million pounds of food to a network of more than 700 emergency food programs throughout New York City — including a large number of New York's hungry elderly. Picking up and delivering food on the same day, the organization now delivers an average of 37,000 pounds of food daily. City Harvest offers a smart, simple solution to ending hunger in New York City.
